The current policy regarding using site resources

Processing Policies

  • All access to Nebraska processing resources for non-US-CMS OSG VOs is provided on an opportunistic basis unless otherwise arranged
  • Non-CMS VOs have a hard limit of 24hours of wall clock time
    • If UNL sysadmins are forced to kill running processes, we will attempt to contact the submitter to provide warning to the affected VO/user.
    • Under normal running conditions we will attempt to give four hours notice.
    • During some running conditions we may be forced to remove processes without warning.
  • US-CMS requests that VOs submit using Condor Grid Monitor. VOs unable to submit through grid monitor will be limited in the number of active processes allowed.

Storage Policies

  • Access to the SRM SE is provided to all OSG VOs
  • There is no disk backup available at this site.
  • Resilient space has a finite size. If the file system fills, UNL will attempt to contact the largest users and provide 4 hours of warning before deleting files.
  • In the case of file system failure, UNL will make a best-effort attempt to help recover information and notify users.
