DOEgrids certificates for GPN users

A short document on how to get DOEgrids certificates for GPN users

The GPN now uses the DOEgrids certificate authority to get certificates.  The DOEgrids authority is run by the US Department of Energy and provides certificates for various OSG VOs who do not have their own certificate authorities.

The primary site for users is here: https://pki1.doegrids.org

Fill out the subscription form on the site.  You will need to provide sufficient contact information, as well as the name of your GPN sponsor.  This should be the GPN representative at your university.  Make sure to set Affiliation: OSG and VO Name: GPN.  A screenshot of the signup page is:

If your sponsor already has a grid certificate, they should send Brian Bockelman an encrypted email confirming your identity, and they must include your request's serial number.

If your sponsor does not already have a grid certificate, they will need to confirm your request's serial number at the next GPN meeting.
